Trolling

Waiting for “ice out” on the big lakes is the highlight of the spring around here. The smelt are running up the brooks and rivers with salmon and brook trout in hot pursuit. It is after ice out that the fish become active feeders.

At the shop, we have frozen smelt to use as “sewn bait” and a large selection of the most popular lures. I carry the DB smelt, Mooselook Wobbler and Weeping Willow lures to name a few. We have lead core line, trolling and casting rods, worms and crawlers, and other things you might need for a day on the water.
